These are a few days late, sorry!
We've had a bit of a rough week in our house, but we're doing fine now.
Baby girl turned 15 weeks on Tuesday! She is happy about celebrating her first Halloween. Her shirt says "Daddy's under my spell." We all know that's true and he'll even admit that. Her sweet Gigi (D's momma) gave her this outfit awhile ago and I was so excited about her wearing it. I made sure it was clean to wear on Halloween too and she did. It is so sweet.
Momma, what are you doing?
Praying daddy will give me some candy! :)
And in other exciting news, she is rolling over now! When D came home on Tuesday we were waking her up from her afternoon nap and she rolled over (back to belly) not long after she woke up. It was so exciting in our house! For about 3 weeks she's been getting up on her side, but not making it over but she finally did this week. I was glad Daniel was home too so he could experience that for the first time with me. This is her after picture!
Another after rolling picture!
We love our roly poly!!! And she's been rolling a bunch ever since. It's very exciting to watch her grow and see what she does. She is changing so much, so quick. It's really exciting!
Stay tuned for her Halloween costume!
Our sweet baby girl was a butterfly for her first Halloween!
We, of course, loved dressing her up for the occasion and she didn't mind too much either.
She was a beautiful butterfly!
Beautiful baby girl!
She's checking out the cute baby in the mirror.
Okay, this costume isn't too bad!
She was also a trooper and went to her first party on Saturday night. We go to one every year and have a costume contest and we dressed up around her (since there aren't too many choices for baby costumes that don't cost an arm and a leg). We were caterpillars to her butterfly! It couldn't have been cuter!
My mom and I were at the mall about a month ago and found that butterfly costume and I fell in love with it, it was so sweet! Before we bought it we talked about what Daniel and I could go as. And we decided on caterpillars.
We're not into spending $50 per costume. 1. we don't have the money and 2. we just don't think it's necessary, so we figured we could make them. And we did! We bought black sweat pants and a black zip-up, hooded jacket, lime green felt from Hobby Lobby (4, 8x11 pieces for $1, you can't beat that!) and I cut them into feet, a pack of pipe cleaners and we cut up 1 lime green per person (we'll donate the rest to our children's ministry at church), and a pink boa for me and a blue one for Daniel. My mom stitched all these on our costume and we were instant caterpillars. And a great thing, she stitched them on with one stitch, so they'll pop right off, so we can wear the sweat suits around the house, making them even more practical! I think our two costumes were probably about $25 total and Nyla's was $22.50 (and my mom's a sport and bought that), so all I paid for was our stuff. You can't beat $25 for two costumes!!!
We had a great first Halloween as a family of 3!

Tomorrow we leave to go to Griffin, Georgia (45 minutes South of Atlanta) to visit my Grandparents. My mom is going with us (it's her parents) so we can all visit them together and we're so excited!
Daniel and I will be using this as a family vacation and going shopping in Atlanta and eating at Mellow Mushroom and having dessert at The Cheesecake Factory, mmmmmm!
We're hoping and praying Nyla does great in the car for about 9 hours. We stop a ton so she'll get fed and changed and played with while we stop at rest areas. She'll need to stretch her legs too! We just hope she'll sleep in the car some, otherwise it won't be much fun!
And Nyla turned 12 weeks yesterday! Man, time with her just flies by. We have the best time together everyday, even when she's fussy. I'm enjoying every second of everyday with her because I know she's growing so fast and I can't get enough of her. She's so fun!
We eagerly await Daddy's arrival home afternoon so we can play with him too. I am blessed beyond words to have a wonderful, loving and supportive husband and a healthy and super sweet and super cute baby girl. God is amazing!
So here's her 12 week pictures! She's growing right before our eyes!
Talking to Daddy!
Mommy, you're funny!
She's not sure about this!
Sidenote: Any nut jobs looking to break into our house this weekend, nice try, we have a house sitter and wonderful neighbors who will call the Police! So, don't even think about it!
